1. Scope
This policy is intended to describe how HostGOAT handles information associated with use of the hosting service, website, support systems, and optional features.
2. Hosted Files and Customer Data
HostGOAT is not a zero-knowledge hosting service. Authorized administrators may need to access a customer’s hosted data when required for troubleshooting, maintenance, security, or support. Access should be limited to legitimate operational purposes.
3. Nancy AI
Nancy is optional and is designed to operate within the current customer’s environment rather than accessing other tenants’ data or HostGOAT core system files. Customers connect their own supported AI-provider API key. Requests sent through Nancy may therefore also be processed under the selected AI provider’s terms and privacy practices.
4. Operational Information
A production privacy policy should identify what account, billing, security, diagnostic, server-log, support, and website-analytics information is actually collected. These details have not yet been finalized in the current product specification.
5. Backups and Retention
HostGOAT currently describes automatic daily backups retained for 14 days on a separate storage system within the same network. Backup retention is distinct from retention of account, billing, support, or system-log information, which should be documented separately.
